Donald Eugene Kohler

Donald Eugene Kohler, 77, of Nappanee, passed away peacefully at 2:18 pm, Wednesday, January 25, 2023 in his home surrounded by family.  Don was born on February 12, 1945 in Nappanee to Victor and Pauline (Boston) Kohler.  On November 23, 1968, he married Geraldine Kuntz in Nappanee. Don is survived by his loving wife, Geraldine; three children, Korena Kohler, Todd (Angie) Kohler and Jeffrey (Nichole) Kohler; 14 grandchildren, Elyse (Kyle) Michali, Ariel (Garrett) Jones, Ryan Heyse, Jeffrey Plank, Justin Kohler, Alysa (Mike Gentry) Kohler, Shelisha (Cody) Divens, Austin Kohler, Dustin Newswanger, Cole Newswanger, Ava Newswanger, Evelyn Newswanger, Stella Kohler and Hazel Kohler; and nine great grandchildren, Rylan Jones, Tobias Jones, Harper Heyse, Zachery Plank, Harper Heyse, Easton Kohler-Gentry, Chasity Kohler, Karmyn Vasques, Asher Ringer and Weston Kohler.  He is also survived by a sister, Norma Sue Ciarlariello and nephew, Robert Kohler.  He is preceded in death by his parents, brother, Albert, and nephew, Michael. Don was a 1963 graduate of Nappanee Eastside High School.  He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army from 1966-1968.  He enjoyed working on vehicles, remodeling housed with is wife and building furniture and cabinets. He was a fan of NASCAR, basketball and football, especially the Miami Dolphins. Visitation will be held from 4:00-7:00 pm, Monday, January 30, 2023 in Mishler Funeral Home, 2030 St Rd 331, Bremen.  Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am, Tuesday, January 31, 2023 in the funeral home with Pastor James Jacobson officiating.  Burial will take place in Bremen Cemetery with military honors.
