Dorothy C. Walter

Dorothy C. Walter, 92, of Bremen, passed away early Sunday morning, April 12, 2006. She was born on January 30, 1934, in Wyatt to George H. and Florence E. (Foeckler) Schlemmer. She was the youngest of nine children and a lifelong resident to the area. On December 12, 1952, she married Thomas W. Walter and they were married 69 ½ years before his passing in 2022. Together they had four children: Steven (LeeAnn) Walter, Jeanna Hall, James Walter and David (Annette) Walter; 11 grandchildren: Stephanie (Kevin)Kulwicki, Krystal Wagoner, Katie Walter, Emily Walter, Caleb Walter, Josh Walter, Ben Walter, Rachel Hall, Katie (Ben) Weber, Erika (Daniel Verteramo) Walter and Jayde Glass, along with 17 great grandchildren. She was preceded by her parents, husband and siblings: Velma (Roy) Stuckey, Reta (Sanford) Miller, Esther (Roland) Huff, Vera (Maynard) Miller, Evelyn (Harold) Fox, Marjorie (Harold) Reed, Junior (Janet) Schlemmer, and Lois (Chet) Naragon. Visitation will be held from 9:00-11:00 am, Saturday, April 18, 2026, in St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, 605 S. Center St., Bremen. Funeral services will begin at 11:00 am on Saturday in the church and a private burial will take place in Bremen Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family prefers memorial contributions to be made to St. Paul’s Lutheran Church or Marshall Co. Humane Society, 11165 13th Rd., Plymouth, IN 46563.
