Edgar Devon Marburger

Edgar Devon Marburger, 96, of Mishawaka, formerly of Bremen, passed away at 4:45 am, Thursday, July 13, 2023 in Primrose Retirement Community of Mishawaka. Edgar was born on August 16, 1926 in Bremen, the son of Herbert and Retha Hope (Burkepile) Marburger. On July 2, 1949, he married Loraine Heckaman. She passed away on May 28, 2020 after 70 years of marriage. He is survived by two children; Sue of Ft. Wayne and Kent (Nancy) of Deer Park, IL. He is preceded in death by his parents, wife and a sister, Rhea Eileen. Edgar attended Purdue University and served his country in the U.S. Navy during WWII. He belonged to numerous antique car clubs and enjoyed going on antique car tours. Some of his hobbies included tapping sugar maple trees, making maple syrup and bird and wildlife watching. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 am, Thursday, July 20, 2023 in Bremen Cemetery.
