Edith V. Rector, 90, of Bremen, passed away at 3:24 pm, Wednesday, November 7, 2018 in St. Joseph Regional Medical Center, Mishawaka. Edith was born on November 17, 1927, the daughter of Glen and Sarah (Mentzel) Zillmer. Edith was an area lifetime resident. She graduated from Bremen High School in 1945. She was a former employee of Bremen Bearings and a lifetime member of the Bremen VFW Ladies Auxiliary. Her hobbies included gardening and crocheting and she loved being with family and friends. She is survived by three daughters; Terry Ann (Jacob) Dermott of Nappanee, Jennie Sue Moschel of Bremen and Judy Whitinger of Warsaw; four grandchildren, David Smith, Matthew Dermott, Cathy Moschel and Amy Schultz; and seven great grandchildren, Justice, Emma, Noelle, Eli, Amber, Kyleigh, and Henry. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Richard; and two sisters, Evelyn Stump and Dorothy Dalton. Visitation will be held from 10:00-12:00 pm, Saturday, November 10, 2018 in Mishler Funeral Home, 2030 St. Rd. 331, Bremen. Funeral services will follow at 12:00 pm Saturday in the funeral home. Pastor Tom Nelson will officiate. Burial will follow in Bremen Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family prefers memorial contributions to be made to: Bremen VFW Ladies Auxiliary, 1750 W. Plymouth St., Bremen, IN 46506, American Heart Association, 6500 Technology Center Dr, #100, Zionsville, IN 46077, or Center for Hospice Care, 112 S. Center St., Plymouth, IN 46563.
