Eloise J Brenneman

June 16, 1931 — January 16, 2025

Eloise “Elly” J. Brenneman, 93, of Elkhart, passed away at 8:42 am, Thursday, January 16, 2025 in Elkhart Co. Hospice House.  Elly was born on June 16, 1931 in Bremen to the late Glenn and Flossie (Berger) Balsley.  She is survived by two children: Beth (Edward) Kovatch of Mishawaka and Brenda (Paul) Fizer of Elkhart; son in law: Mark Lechlitner of Wakarusa; seven grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren and five great great grandchildren.  She is preceded in death by her parents; daughter: Becky Lechlitner; two brothers: Marvin and Carl Balsley and one sister: Lucille Grebe. Elly was a devoted member of Bethel United Methodist Church of Elkhart, where she sung in the choir.  She worked for the Excel Corp. for over 20 years as a press operator and then at Martin’s Supermarket in Elkhart. Visitation will be held from 11:00-1:00 pm, Wednesday, January 22, 2025 in Mishler Funeral Home, 2030 St Rd 331, Bremen.  Funeral services will begin at 1:00 pm, Wednesday in the funeral homes.  Pastor Keith McFarren will officiate.  Burial will follow in Bremen Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Bethel United Methodist Church, 1200 N. Michigan St., Elkhart, IN 46514 or Esther’s House-Center for Hospice Care, 22579 Old US 20 E., Elkhart, IN 46516.
