Eloise Heyde

Eloise Heyde, 95, of Bremen, passed away on Monday, September 12, 2022 in Signature Health Care of Bremen.  Eloise was born on May 9, 1927 in Nappanee, the daughter of Henry and Fannie (Schmucker) Kaufman.  On November 10, 1945, she married Eldon Heyde.

She is survived by her loving husband, Eldon; four children, Darla Smith of Warsaw, Devon Heyde of Plymouth, Robin (Lynn) Reynolds of Bremen and Ronald (Susan) Heyde of Trenton, GA; nine grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.  She is preceded in death by her parents, daughter, Janet and two siblings, Roy Kaufman and Esther Kaufman.

She and her husband were members of the House of The Lord Church of Plymouth.  He started farming when they were married.  Eloise loved gardening, canning and freezing what she grew.  She also loved cake decorating, sewing (she made lots of clothes for the kids) and she played the guitar and organ. After they sold the farm, they drove Amish people all over the United States and Canada.  One trip lasted six weeks.

Visitation will be held from 2:00-5:00 pm, Sunday, September 18, 2022 in Mishler Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 11:00-1:00 pm, Monday, September 19, 2022 in Mishler Funeral Home, 2030 St Rd 331, Bremen.  Funeral services will follow at 1:00 pm in the funeral homes.  Pastor Ted Dilts will officiate.  Burial will take place in Bremen Cemetery.
