Eric "Stick" Martin

Eric “Stick” Morgan Martin, 43, of Bremen, IN, passed away in Vibra Hospital on October 7, 2022. He was born in Mishawaka, IN, on July 11, 1979 to Mike and Lolly (Sabo) Martin. On May 21, 2011 he married Gretchen Balka. He is survived by his wife, Gretchen of Bremen, IN; daughter Maren Lou Theresa Martin; parents Mike and Lolly Martin of Bremen, IN; sisters Heather (Jay) Dell of New Paris, IN and Amy (Dan) Goodspeed of Land O’ Lakes, FL; father and mother-in-law Greg and Beth Balka of Bremen, IN; brother-in-law Clinton (Stacy) Balka of Nappanee, IN; nieces Chloe, Neely, and Luna; nephew Grady; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. He was preceded in death by his grandparents.  Stick graduated from Bremen High School. He had many hobbies and interests. He enjoyed working in the garage, listening to music, sitting outside enjoying a beer, collecting baseball cards, and had a great love for shoes. He was always ready with a witty comeback or comment and was a friend to all. Visitation will be held from 4:00 – 7:00 pm, Wednesday, October 26, 2022 in Mishler Funeral Home, 2030 St Rd 331, Bremen. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am, Thursday, October 27, 2022 in Nappanee Missionary Church in the chapel, 70417 St Rd 19, Nappanee. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to Riley Children’s Foundation, 30 S Meridian Suite 200, Indianapolis, IN 46204.
