Eugene F. Wagner

Eugene Frederick Wagner, 92, of Bremen, went to be with the Lord at 11:41 am, Sunday, December 18, 2022. Gene was born on August 17, 1930, the son of the late Julius and Martha (Berger) Wagner. Gene is survived by two daughters, Debra (Gary) Carlson of Bremen and Julie Gastfield of Orlando, FL; four grandchildren, Angela Carlson of Bremen, Kristen (Scott) Eby of Indianapolis, Andrew Skipper of Elkhart and Garrett Gastfield of Orlando, FL. He is also survived by a sister, Elizabeth (Vernon) Hostetler of Rolette, ND. He is preceded in death by his parents; five siblings, Vernon, Bob, Marie, Paul and Lucille; one daughter, Jane Martin; and two grandsons. Gene proudly served his country in the US Army from 1953-1955 as an SP5 Btry 86th AAA Missile Btn Radar Operator. He loved making pies, woodworking, traveling and gardening. He had the most beautiful flower beds and always made enough rhubarb jelly to share with others. There will be no visitation at this time. His ashes will be buried in Rest Haven Cemetery at a later date with full military honors.
