Evelyn L. Jacobs

Evelyn Louise Jacobs, 92, of Bremen, passed away at 9:45 pm, Monday, January 1, 2024 in Pilgrim Manor Nursing Home, Plymouth.  Evelyn was born on October 22, 1931 in San Diego, CA.  On September 29, 1950, she married Clarence Jacobs.  He passed away on May 11, 1999. She is survived by three children: Kristine (Peter) Swathwood of Bremen, Larry (Anita) Jacobs of Etna Green and Corey (Chris) Jacobs of Fishers, IN; eight grandchildren: Melody (Steve) Douglass, Holly (Tony) Fritz, Seth (Valerie) Jacobs, Laura (Addam) Kantz, Rachel (Dan) Manges, Ross (Sarah) Jacobs, Bradley Jacobs and Sarah Jacobs; eight great grandchildren: Kelsey Hundt, Sabrina Troyer, Sydney Douglass, Paige Jacobs, Brenden Jacobs, Alivia Kantz, Malia Kantz and Joey Manges and four great great grandchildren, Shayla Douglass, Kaiden Douglass, Lenora Hundt and Maddox Hundt.  She is preceded in death by her parents, Tom and Marrian Quirk, son Jerry Jacobs and a great grandchild, Adalynn Kay Manges. After graduating from Bremen High School in 1949, she worked a short time for John Meck Corp. in Plymouth and also as a secretary. Her hobbies included crafts, reading baking and gardening. Visitation will be held from 9:00-11:00 am, Saturday, January 6, 2024 at Mishler Funeral Home, 2030 St Rd 331, Bremen.  Funeral services will begin at 11:00 am, Saturday in the funeral home and burial will follow in Bremen Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the donor’s choice.
