Gary Allen

Gary Arnold Allen, 79, of Wabash, formerly of Bremen, passed away at 5:25 am, Monday, June 28, 2021 in his home. Gary was born on January 11, 1942 in Spokane, WA, the son of the late Oscar and Viola (Tarbert) Allen. He is survived by three children; April (Michael) Kyle of Middlebury, Robin (Bob) Umbaugh of Walkerton and Tricia (Greg) Gohring of Wabash; eight grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. He is also survived by two sibling, Jim (Delores) Allen of Florida and Danny Allen of Michigan City, IN. He is preceded in death by his parents, wife, grandson and nine siblings. Gary proudly served his country in the U.S. Army and was honorably discharged in 1963. He was the owner/operator of Pla-Mor Campground in Bremen. Gary retired to Arizona and he enjoyed fishing, square dancing, panning for gold and going to the casino. Visitation will be held from 4:00-8:00 pm, Thursday, July 1, 2021 in Mishler Funeral Home, 2030 St Rd 331, Bremen. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm, Friday, July 2, 2021 in the funeral home with one hour of visitation prior. Pastor Neil Wonnacott will officiate. Burial will follow in Bremen Cemetery with full military honors. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions to be made to the D.A.V. at www.dav.org.
