George J. Vandekeere

George J. VanDeKeere, 82, of Bremen, passed away peacefully in his home on Monday, March 3, 2025, surrounded by family. George was born on January 30, 1943 in Mishawaka to the late August and Rachel (Poelvoorde) VanDeKeere.  On October 1, 1966, he married Judith Affeld in South Bend. He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Judy; four children: Jeff VanDeKeere of Elkhart, Laura (Michael) Hensley of South Bend, Cindy Cox of Bremen and Steve (Lynn) VanDeKeere of Bremen; eight grandchildren: Sierra (Randy) Alcorn, Aaron VanDeKeere, Molly (Aaron) Pierce, Sarah Englebert, Ryan Englebert, Courtney (Brent) Jones, Kyle Cox and Elijah VanDeKeere; and six great grandchildren: Meilani, Carver, Madison, Jeremiah, Kolton and Patrick.  He is also survived by sister: Charlene (Ron) Gouker of Bremen. George was a member of St. Dominic Catholic Church.  When he was not building and racing Hot Rods, he enjoyed fishing and hunting. Visitation will be held from 10:00-11:00 am, Thursday, March 6, 2025 in St. Dominic Catholic Church, 803 W. Bike St., Bremen.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am, Thursday in St. Dominic Catholic Church.  Cremation will follow.
