Gerald Monroe Kiefer

Gerald M. Kiefer, 94, of Bremen, passed away at 5:50 pm, Thursday, January 19, 2023 in Signature
Health Care of Bremen. Gerald was born on January 16, 1929 to the late Frank and Arvilla (Stuntz)
Kiefer. On October 7, 1950 in Bremen First Baptist Church, he married Delorres Sibert. He is survived by
his loving wife, Delorres and nieces and nephews, Philip (Darla) Kiefer, David Kiefer, Laurel Kiefer, Karen
(Jerry) Smith, Carol (Richard) Hunsberger and David (Kathy) McGowen, all of Bremen and Mike (Connie)
McGowen of Wakarusa. He is preceded in death by his parents, nephew, Rick Leiter and siblings,
Geneva Oldfather and Delmar Kiefer. Gerald proudly served his country in the U.S. Army from 1949-
1952. His hobbies included traveling, golfing, fishing and hunting and he was a member of the Fishing
Lure Club. He and his wife had attended every Master’s Tournament since 1972. Visitation will be held
from 9:00-11:00 am, Tuesday, January 24, 2023 in Mishler Funeral Home, 2030 St Rd 331, Bremen.
Funeral services will follow at 11:00 am in the funeral homes with Pastor Matthew Elliott officiating.
Burial will follow in Bremen Cemetery with military honors. In memory of Gerald, memorial
contributions should be made to Grace Baptist Church, 1830 N. Michigan St., Plymouth, IN 46563.
