Gerald Rhoade

Gerald (Jerry) Roger Rhoade, 76, passed away at 4:06 am, Monday, October 23, 2017 in Bloomington, IN. He was born at home in Madison Township on March 11, 1941 to Raymond and Violet Rhoade. He was preceded in death by his parents, his sister, Elaine (Ray) Hinton and his brother, James (Mary) Rhoade. He is survived by one sister, Mary Lou Henry of Mishawaka and twelve nieces and nephews. He graduated from Madison Township High School in 1959 and from North Manchester College in 1963. He taught English and Art at Miami Cass High School. Jerry successfully bought and sold real estate in Florida and Indiana for many years. He was loved and respected by his many employees. Jerry was very tender hearted, especially to his many cats and dogs that he took care of over the years. A gathering of family and friends will he held from 10:00 am-11:00 am, Friday, October 27, 2017 in Mishler Funeral Home, 2030 St. Rd. 331, Bremen. Burial will take place in Bremen Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family prefers memorials to your local Humane Society.
