Helen Olsen

Helen A. Olsen, 90, of Plymouth, passed away at 9:40 am, Sunday, May 1, 2022 in Catherine Kasper House, Donaldson. Helen was born on July 27, 1931 in Plymouth, IN to the late Roland and Cecile (Buss) Davenport. On October 15, 1948 she married James E. Olsen in Lakeville, IN. He passed away on August 13, 1989. She is survived by three children, Cheryl Kling of Plymouth, IN; James L. (Jennifer) Olsen of Lakeville, IN; and Marshall B. (Laura) Olsen of Plymouth, IN; 6 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild. She is preceded in death by her parents and husband. Helen was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church. She loved children and was a helper in the kindergarten class at St. Paul’s Lutheran School. She was a member of the Walkerton American Legion, volunteered for the Red Cross, and worked the election polls. Helen loved her flower gardens, bird watching, painting, crocheting, spending her winters in Florida and her summers in Wisconsin. Visitation will be held from 11:30 – 1:30 pm, Friday, May 6, 2022 in Mishler Funeral Home, 2030 St Rd 331, Bremen. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 pm, Friday, May 6, 2022 in the funeral home with Pastor Neil Wonnacott officiating. Burial will follow in the Bremen Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family request that memorial contributions can be made to St. Paul’s Lutheran Church.
