Irvin Kaylor

November 1, 1946 — September 12, 2025

Irvin Lee Kaylor, 78, of Bremen, Indiana, passed away on September 12, 2025, surrounded by loved ones. He was born on November 1, 1946, to Fern Kaylor, and spent his childhood in Bremen alongside his six siblings: Betty, Jake, Doris Ann, Marylinn, Martha and Barb.

Irvin was a loving father to his children, Fred Kaylor and Bree Kaylor, and for the past 25 years, he shared his life and love with his partner, Kristy Barehead, creating many cherished memories together.

Known for his warm smile and easygoing spirit, Irvin never met a stranger. He loved playing golf in the warmer months and shooting pool with friends and family, he never missed the chance to get out on the dance floor, and was always up for a quick trip to the casino. He had a passion for vehicles and could often be found tinkering in the garage. Among the many he owned over the years, he especially cherished his Jeep Wrangler, his Corvette, and his Harley-Davidson motorcycle. Irvin was a natural handyman who loved fixing things and was always ready to lend a helping hand. His laughter, kindness, and genuine care for others made him a friend to many.

Irvin worked faithfully for many years at Holiday Rambler, where his dedication and hard work earned the respect of his colleagues. Outside of work, he found joy in life’s simple pleasures—time with family, friendly competition at the pool table, the hum of an engine, and the rhythm of a good song.

Preceded in death by: his mother, Fern Kaylor; and his sisters, Doris Ann Kaylor, Betty Young, Martha Yoder, and Barbara Martin.

Survived by: his partner, Kristy Barehead; his children, Fred (Stephanie) Kaylor and Bree (Barbara) Kaylor; and his siblings, Kenneth D. (Jake) Kaylor and Marylinn (Jerry) Chapman.

Irvin leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and generosity. He will be deeply missed by his family, extended relatives, and all who were blessed to know him.

Celebration of life will be held at a later date. Details will be shared with family and friends
