Joan Schutz

Joan W. Schutz, 88, of Bremen, passed away at 6:20 am, Friday, August 27, 2021. Joan was born on July 22, 1933 in Milford, IN to Arthur and Charlotte (Umbaugh) Wise. On May 24, 1952 she married Lawrence Schutz who preceded her in death on December 25, 2015. She is survived by four sons, Patrick (Sharon) Schutz of Bremen, Lawrence Allen (Teresa) Schutz of Melvindale, MI, Tim (Kim) Schutz of Bremen, and Keith (Sande) Schutz of LaPaz; eighteen grandchildren, forty-three great grandchildren, and seven great great grandchildren. She is also survived by one daughter-in-law, Mel Schutz of Bremen. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son David Schutz, brother Robert Wise, and sister Mary Wise Stump. Joan was a member of St. Dominic Catholic Church. She enjoyed gardening, camping and fishing with her husband, canning, crocheting and working on puzzles. Visitation will be held from 11:00 – 1:00 pm, Wednesday, September 1, 2021 in St. Dominic Catholic Church, 803 W. Bike St., Bremen. A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 1:00 pm, Wednesday. Burial will follow in Bremen Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family would like memorial contributions to be made to St. Dominic Catholic Church, 803 W. Bike St., Bremen 46506.
