Joann Lynn Hueni, 63, of Bremen, went to be with her Lord Jesus on Wednesday, August 22, 2018 in her home. Joann was born on January 15, 1955 in Elkhart to the union of Lowell “Buss” and Mary Ann (Yergler) Rassi. On January 3, 1977, she married Jon C. Hueni in Bremen. She is survived by her loving husband of 41 years, Jon; four children, Kari (Paul) Giarrizzo of Mesa, AZ, Juli (Tom) Zeltwanger of Bremen, Jonathan Hueni of Bremen and Krenten Hueni of Bremen; two grandchildren, Gia and Jada. She is also survived by her parents, Lowell (Mary Ann) Rassi of Milford and three siblings, Clark Rassi of Dallas, TX, Doug (Kris) Rassi of Syracuse and Clay (Becky) Rassi of Syracuse. Josie is well known for her exceptional talent in interior decorating and has left her mark in homes all around the community. She loved creating beautiful spaces for people to enjoy, and doing it on a dime! She also had a passion for hospitality and used her gifts and beautiful home to serve family, host friends, and welcome missionaries from all over the world. Josie had a flawless scrabble record, incredible green thumb, she loved God’s creation and could feed the masses with delicious homemade meals! She devoted herself to her children, pouring years of her life into homeschooling, cheerleading at sporting events, and supporting their careers. She was always encouraging with her contagious optimism, wise counsel and Godly perspective. Though it was only for a short time, she loved her role as Mimi and enjoyed every second she had with her two granddaughters. She was a loving and faithful wife for 41 years, supporting her husband in his ministry at Grace Fellowship Church in Bremen, but extending to conferences all over the world. Above all, she loved her Lord and Savior, and her trust in Him never wavered! All praise to God’s amazing grace! A private burial service will be held for the family. A public memorial service will be held at 7:00 pm, Monday, August 27, 2018 at Grace Fellowship Church, 535 S. Birkey St., Bremen, with one hour of visitation before and after the service. In lieu of flowers, the family would like memorial contributions to be made to Grace Fellowship Church Mission Fund in memory of Josie’s loving service to God’s servants.
