John Harold Schooler, 66, of Bremen, passed away at 1:16 pm, Saturday, March 24, 2018 in St. Vincent Hospital of Indianapolis. John was born on March 4, 1952 in Vienna, Austria to John and Charlotte (Hauser) Schooler and he immigrated to the United States when he was two. On November 27, 1982, he married Helen Elkins. He is survived by his loving wife of 34 years, Helen; five children, Anthony (Justina) Schooler of Lakeville, Jay (Sarah) Schooler of Winamac, Sara Keyser of Plymouth, Eric Spindler of Syracuse, and Christal Spindler of Bourbon; 11 grandchildren and three great grandchildren. He is also survived by his mother, Charlotte (Bill) Blum of Bremen and a brother, Cliff (Sandie) Schooler of Lakeville. John was an auto salesman for most of his life. He worked for various dealerships including H & J Auto Sales, Gates and Harold Ziegler Ford. He was very talented when it came to playing the piano. He and his wife loved camping and having camp fires. He also loved to golf and fish. Visitation will be held from 4:00-8:00 pm, Wednesday, March 28, 2018 in Mishler Funeral Home, 2030 St. Rd. 331, Bremen. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am, Thursday, March 29, 2018 in the funeral home. Pastor Kurt Litwiller will officiate. Per his wishes, he will be cremated after the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials contribution may be made to the family.
