John Smith

John Alan Smith, 66, of Bremen, passed away in his home on Sunday, October 8, 2017. John was born on September 24, 1951, the son of the late Jasper “Jack” L. and Velma (Creakbaum) Smith. On August 26, 1972, he married Natalie Snyder. He is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Natalie; four children, Jason (Heather) Smith of Noblesville, Amanda Kaprove of Carmel, Jamie Smith of Bremen and Ryan (Jessica) Smith of Bremen and eight grandchildren, Evan, Lauren, Joel, Bethanie, Caroline, Skylar, Chi Ann, and Averi. He is also survived by a brother, James (Michele) Smith of Wyoming. He is preceded in death by his parents and two siblings, Betty and William. John was the Owner/Operator of Oasis and C.T.A. in Plymouth. He was a very talented Artist. John loved spending time at his house on Syracuse Lake and wintering in Florida. He was a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather. A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 am, Thursday, October 12, 2017 in Mishler Funeral Home, 2030 St. Rd. 331, Bremen. The family will accept guests one hour prior to the start of the service. In lieu of flowers, the family prefers memorial be made to the Wawasee Area Conservancy Foundation, 11586 IN-13, Syracuse, IN 46567.
