Johnnie F. Addair

Johnnie Franklin Addair, 79, of Bremen was peacefully reunited with his beloved wife Wanda (Roberts) in Heaven, on December 30, 2023. Johnnie was born in Iaeger, WV on April 7, 1944. He is survived by his two daughters Marsha Stiles (Shane Lambdin) and Anna Brinkman (Seth Enders), two sisters Rita of Paynesville WVA and Wanda Browning of Detroit MI. Johnnie went to work as a miner in the coal mines of West Viginia at the young age of only 14 years old. He continued working in the mines until he and Wanda moved to South Bend, Indiana in 1970. Johnnie was Foreman at Penz Tool in Mishawaka and they moved to Bremen in 1972 where he lived until his passing. Johnnie was blessed with 7 grandchildren Nathan and Aaron McKenzie (Katie), Larry Hankins (Tiffani), Serina Stiles, Evan Enders (Maddie), Llene Enders (Korey) and their son Bentley. He also leaves behind his beloved dog Dollie Marie. Family was everything to him and likewise, they cherished him. He was loved by all who met him, a true hero in every aspect of the word. He enjoyed woodworking, making birdhouses, gardening, and spending time with family. He was truly one of the best men to have ever walked this Earth and he leaves a massive hole in the hearts of those who knew him. But we will take comfort in knowing that he is now  joyfully reunited with his loving wife, and loved ones gone before him. We will honor him by living our lives with the love and values he instilled in us. The family would like to extend their appreciation to the staff of Beacon Memorial Hospital who lovingly cared for Johnnie during his stay. And a special thank you to Dr. Kari Sears who not only treated him, but genuinely loved him, and he referred to her as “family”. Memorial visitation will be held from 12:00 pm - 2:00 pm, Friday, January 5, 2024, at Mishler Funeral Home, 2030 St Rd 331, Bremen.  Memorial Service will be held on Friday, January 5 starting at 2:00 pm at Mishler Funeral Home.
