Josephine A. LaVine

Josephine Ann LaVine, 90, of Plymouth, IN, passed away on Tuesday, August 11, 2026, in We Belong Senior Home in Plymouth. Josephine was born on October 1, 1935, to Dewey J. Walter and Mildred R. (Bowser) Walter in Bremen, IN. On June 3, 1955, she married Lyle E. LaVine in a ceremony at Bremen, IN he preceded her in death on May 13, 2018. Josephine loved her family, reading, working with stain glass and was a fabulous cook. She was a member of the Salem United Methodist Church (which then transitioned into the Bremen United Methodist Church.) Josephine will be dearly missed by daughter, Janet LaVine of Plymouth, IN; her grandchildren: Jerry (Reanee) LaVine, Jr., Matthew (Debbie) Bammerlin, Sr.: Laura (Alex) Andujar: Jeffrey (Kami) Toumey; sixteen great-grandchildren; daughter-in-law Janice LaVine and son-in-law John Toumey. Preceding her in death her husband: five siblings and three children: Susan Toumey, Roger LaVine and Jerry LaVine. Visitation will be Monday, August17, 2026 from Noon to 2 p.m. at Mishler Funeral Home (2030 State Road 331, Bremen, IN 46506.) A private family burial will take place in Bremen Cemetery, Bremen, IN.
