December 15, 1943 — March 5, 2026

Joyce Ann White, 82, born on December 15, 1943, and raised in Bremen, Indiana, Joyce was called to her eternal home on March 5, 2026.

Joyce was nurtured in the Lutheran faith and began her formal education at St. Paul’s Lutheran Grade School in Bremen, where the foundations of her lifelong faith were firmly laid. She graduated from Bremen High School in 1961 and pursued higher education at Valparaiso University, where she would meet her future husband. Joyce earned a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education in 1982 at Concordia College, St. Paul, Minnesota. She later earned a Master of Arts in Learning Disabilities in 1991 at the University of South Florida and was inducted into the Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi.

On December 27, 1964, Joyce married Ron, the love of her life, who then was attending Iowa State University. Their marriage of more than 61 years was marked by steadfast love, intellectual companionship, and shared devotion to Christ and His Church. Together they lived in Ames, Iowa; Minneapolis and Plymouth, Minnesota; and Fort Myers, Florida.

Joyce was a beautiful, humble lady, and a devout Christian. She served faithfully as an educator, accomplished church organist and Bible study leader. Her quiet confidence in God’s promises shaped every part of her life. Her faith was lived daily and spoken gently, offering comfort and encouragement to many. In her leisure time, Joyce enjoyed tennis, golf, bridge, ocean travel, and ballroom dancing.

Joyce was preceded in death by her parents, Ivan and Ernestine (Neddo) Kelley, and her brother, Mark. She is survived by her beloved husband, Dr. Ronald Eugene White; sisters, Susan Zents of Libertyville, Illinois, and Nancy Nettrour of Fulshear, Texas. Joyce will be dearly missed by her husband, family members and close friends.

A private burial will take place in Bremen, Indiana.
