Karen S. Smith

Karen Sue Smith, 69, of Bremen, passed away peacefully at 4:11 am, Saturday, September 10, 2022 in Raclin Hospice House of Mishawaka. Karen was born on May 19, 1953 in South Bend to the late Edward and Mildred (Gruenholz) Weissfuss.  On January 8, 1978, she married Roger Smith. She is survived by her loving husband of 44 years, Roger; four children, David (Jennifer Tobias) Smith of Springdale, AR, Daniel (Chris) Smith of South Bend, Bradley (Debra) Smith of Otterbein, IN and Beth (Michael) Fusco of Sullivan, IN; five grandchildren, Cody, Skyler, Scott, Sean and Emma and two siblings, Peggy Weissfuss of South Bend and John (Brenda) Weissfuss of South Bend. Karen was a member of St. Dominic Catholic Church.  She loved her family and helping people. Karen enjoyed sewing and quilting. Visitation will be from 11:00-1:00 pm, Tuesday, September 13, 2022 in Mishler Funeral Home, 2030 St Rd 331, Bremen.  Funeral services will follow at 1:00 pm in the funeral home.  Fr. Daniel Niezer will officiate.  Burial will be in Bremen Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions to be made to St. Dominic Catholic Church, 803 W. Bike St., Bremen, IN 46506.
