Ken “Kenny” Bollenbacher, 61, of Bremen, IN, passed away in his home on July 30 th 2021 unexpectedly of natural causes. He was born in Bremen, IN, on September 23 rd 1959 to the late Norman and Elsie (Vollmer) Bollenbacher. Survived by Deborah (Jones) Bollenbacher his wife of 38 years; his daughters Adriane (David) Kulczar of Noblesville, IN, and Valerie (Marcus Knight) Bollenbacher of Muncie, IN; his grandchildren Logan and Elliana Kulczar; and his siblings all of Bremen, IN, Jane McFarland, Wayne (Bonnie) Bollenbacher, and Janet (Lee) Anglemyer. Ken graduated from Bremen High School in 1977. His passions after graduation included but not limited to playing fast-pitch softball with his buddies and visiting his family cottage ‘Up North.’ After meeting and marrying his wife, Deborah, he built their dream home and had two wonderful daughters. Ken was a dedicated father. He enjoyed raising the girls and coaching them in the array of sports that they had played over the years. He spent most of his recent years “coaching” Notre Dame football and Chicago Cubs from his living room, honing his carpentry skills, reeling in the ‘Big One’ on the pond, trying to hit the Jackpot at the casino, making sure that everyone was well taken care of in his presence, and most importantly spoiling his grandchildren in every way possible. He will be greatly missed. A time of gathering will take place from 3:00-6:00 pm, Tuesday, August 3, 2021 in Mishler Funeral Home, 2030 St Rd 331, Bremen. A memorial service will follow at 6:00 pm with Pastor Chuck Krieg officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to American Parkinson’s Association at www.kadpaparkinson.org .
