Lance B. Montague

Lance B. Montague, 25, of Carmel, formerly of Bremen, passed away at 1:33 am, Friday, May 19, 2017 in his home.  Lance was born on September 10, 1991 in Bremen to Tim Montague and Debra Ling. Lance is survived by his mother, Debra (Darrick) Ling of Niles; father, Tim (Susan) Montague of Bremen; sisters, Logan Montague of Niles, Jessica (Brandon) Clay of Indianapolis, and Lindsey Allen of Bremen and brothers, Craig and Garret Allen, both of Bremen.  He is also survived by maternal grandmother, Pauline Thompson of Bremen and paternal grandparents, Neil (Dori) Montague of Bremen; aunts, Teresa (Jamey) Jodway of Mishawaka and Shelli (Gary) Kauffman of Bremen and uncle, Chris Montague of Mishawaka.   Lance graduated from Bremen High School in 2010.  He enjoyed being outdoors, bike riding, rock climbing, hiking and just being one with nature.  He was an avid Detroit Lions fan and had a free spirit.  He had a great love for dogs, especially his dog, Nala, whom he rescued from a no-kill shelter, who was deaf.  He brought so much love and comfort to her in her final years before she passed. Visitation will be from 3:00-8:00 pm, Monday, May 22, 2017 in Mishler Funeral Home, 2030 St. Rd. 331, Bremen.  Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am, Tuesday, May 23, 2017 in the funeral home with burial to follow in Bremen Cemetery.
