Linda Lisk

Linda Joyce (Rowe) Lisk passed away on September 25, 2022, in Mercy Anderson Hospital in Cincinnati, Ohio, following an illness. She was born on January 29, 1939 in Plymouth, Indiana. She was the daughter of Beuford and Olive Rowe and was raised on their family farm near Bremen, Indiana. Linda attended St. Paul’s Lutheran School for grades one through eight. She was one of many students taught by Mr. Martin Buescher, a teacher for whom she held in high regard her entire life. She was a 1957 graduate from Bremen High School where she was active in Glee Club, 4-H, Band, Theater, Choir and Home Economics Club. In 1969, Linda married James Lisk. The happy couple raised three boys and relocated to Cincinnati in 1971. As a mother, Linda was extremely devoted to her children. In her later years, her grandchildren and great-grandchildren also brought her much joy and happiness. She loved them deeply and remained dedicated to them throughout her life. She was proud of their accomplishments and always eager to brag about them. Linda was predeceased by her parents; two brothers, John (Daniece) Rowe and William (Gloria) Rowe; a son, Brad Lisk; and two grandsons, Jason Lisk and Brett Lisk II. The unexpected losses of Linda's son and grandchildren hurt her immensely, but her devout Christian faith served her well through to the end. She is survived by her husband; one brother, Curtis (Shannon) Rowe; two sons, Bart (Alda) Lisk and Brett Lisk I; four grandchildren, Sara (Jon) Cox, Aaron (Ashley) Lisk, Jacob Lisk, and Isabelle Lisk; and nine great-grandchildren. Five nieces and four nephews also survive her. Funeral services are scheduled at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, 605 S. Center St, Bremen, Indiana on Friday September 30 at 11:00 am. Visitation is scheduled for two hours prior to the service at the church. The family has requested that donations be made to St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in lieu of flowers.
