She was preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Lelia Matzat. Her favorite thing to do was travel around the world. Lois and Curtis often took their children camping and canoeing with friends. She would often travel to her home in Venice, Florida to spend time in the sunshine and at the beach. Another favorite trip was visiting the Nielsen family in New Orleans, Louisiana. Gardening was a fun summertime activity for Lois. She would come home from work every day and take a stroll through her yard and garden.
