Marjorie I. Schutz

Marjorie I. Schutz, 94, of Bremen, passed away peacefully at 7:22 am, August 14, 2024. She was born September 6, 1929 to Eldred and Leora (Hunt) Name in Mishawaka. Marjorie married John W. Schutz June 22, 1948 in St. Dominic Church in Bremen, Indiana.  Marjorie was an avid Notre Dame fan. She enjoyed arts and craft, floral arranging and loved working in her flower garden. She had a collection of angels, and loved Tweety Bird as well.  Marjorie was a member of St. Dominic Catholic Church, Altar and Rosary Society. She was also a member of Kiwanis and she volunteered in the Bremen Community Hospital gift shop. Marjorie is survived by three daughters; Mary Sue (Terry) Newcomer of Nappanee, Barbara Ann (Bill) Lewis of Bremen, Christina Kay Pearish of Bremen, 8 grandchildren: Tracy (Jeff Stouder) Richard of Bremen, Scott Newcomer of Nappanee, Robert Richard of Cathedral City, CA, Angie (Cory) Sinkovics of Bremen Linda (Matt) Massengill of Plymouth, Lori (Heath) Hawkins of Bremen, Bradley (Jamie) Newcomer of Nappanee, Brandon (Jenna) Pearish of Bremen, 22 great-grandchildren, 5 great great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Marjorie was preceded in death by her parents, husband, John on July 4, 2013, grandson Todd, three brothers: Wilber, Charles, Donald, and one son-in-law Donald Pearish. Visitation will be held from 10:00-11:00 am, Saturday, August 17, 2024 at St Dominic Catholic Church, 803 W. Bike St., Bremen.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 am, Saturday, August 17, 2024 in St. Dominic Catholic Church.  Burial will follow in Bremen Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Dominic Catholic Church, 803 W. Bike St., Bremen, IN 46506 or to Grace Food Pantry of Bremen, 1237 W. Plymouth St. Bremen, IN 46506.
