Martha Jean Miller 90, of Bremen IN, passed away on Monday, August 10,2026 at home with her family by her side. Martha was born on August 18, 1935, to Forrest and Ethel Hepler (Sauer) in Bremen, IN. She graduated from Madison High School in 1953. She then worked at the Wyatt Bank as a teller until she met her future husband, Joe E Miller. They got engaged on February 14, 1958. Their song was "My Funny Valentine". They were married on March 28, 1958. They were married until Joe's death on May 24, 2019. They welcomed three children, a daughter, Brenda, and two sons, Gary and Scott. In 1971, Martha and Joe started Miller Bearing Co. Inc. in Bremen IN. Martha was the Secretary and Treasurer of the company and ran it from their basement at their Miami Trail home. She did customer service, taking future orders, etc. until the building was built at 225 Industrial, Bremen, IN. The thriving business was then sold to RBC in 2004, when Joe retired. Martha was a homemaker for most of her life enjoying raising her family. Martha also enjoyed and belonged to a bowling league, Bailey's Body Shop. Their team went to State to try for the Championship Bowling Tournament. Martha was also an avid IU Basketball and Notre Dame Football fan who enjoyed making $1 bets with family and friends. Martha and Joe had a wonderful and full life together. They traveled in their motor home all over the US. They loved boating on Lake Michigan and cherished the friends that they made at New Buffalo, MI. They also had a condominium at Waterside down at Ft. Myers Beach, FL. They made many cherished friends down there also. Martha will be missed by her daughter, Brenda (Max) Unsicker of Bremen, IN; her son Gary (Alice) Miller of Bourbon, IN; her 7 grandchildren: Kimberly (who also was her caregiver), Kelsey, Joseph, Erica, Christine, Thomas, and Darren; twelve great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. She will also be missed by her nieces and nephews and their families. Martha was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Joan; her husband, Joe; her son, Scott and her great granddaughter, Makayla. A visitation will be held on Saturday, August 15, 2026, from 9:30 a.m. to Noon at Mishler Funeral Home (2030 St. Rd. 331, Bremen, IN 46506). Private burial will be in Bremen Cemetery Mausoleum with her husband. In Leu of flowers, Memorial donations in Martha's honor may be made to Bremen Community Hospital (1020 High Rd.
