Martha B. Williams

Martha Belle Williams, 83, of Bremen passed away at 9:42 am, Sunday, August 18, 2024.  Martha was born on December 20, 1940 in Hopkinsville, KY, to the late Lindsey and Olean (Nicholson) Shanklin.  Martha is survived by her daughter Lisa Williams and son David Williams, both of Bremen, one granddaughter Abigail (Joey) Martin and one great granddaughter Sophie Boley.  Martha is also survived by four sisters; Nadine Ellis of Hopkinsville, Ky, Mary Ann Roberts of Clarksville, KY, Sue Duckett of Black Mountain, NC and Carolyn Wyatt of Hopkinsville, KY.  Martha is proceeded in death buy her parents, husband Max Williams, four brothers: Kenneth, Joe, Jesse, Gene Shanklin. Martha and Max owned Edgar County Title Co. in Paris, IL, for over 20 years.  Per the family’s wishes cremation will take place and her ashes will be buried next to her husband in Bremen Cemetery.
