Marvin W. Gaskill

Marvin Wayne Gaskill, 88, of Bremen, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 20, 2024 in his home.  Marvin was born on February 23, 1935 in Mishawaka, the son of the late Lloyd and Ruth (Kirkdofer) Gaskill.  Marvin is survived by five children: Paula (Shane) Blackstone of Huntington, IN, Daniel Gaskill of Mishawaka, Judith Gaskill of Elkhart, Mary Gaskill-Sheetz of Mishawka and Timothy Gaskill of the Philippines.  He is also survived by his companion, Irene Unsicker of Bremen, seven grandchildren and six great grandchildren.  He is preceded in death by his parents, daughter, Loreen Gaskill, son, David Gaskill and siblings, Carl Gaskill, Claude Gaskill, Keith Gaskill, Darwin Gaskill, Clista Neal and Jack Gaskill. Marvin graduated from Elkhart High School in 1953 and went on to graduate from Huntington College in 1970.  He previously had worked at Wilt’s Groceries, Elkhart and was a pastor with the Evangelical United Brethren and United Methodist Churches in Bourbon and Huntington.  Most recently, he drove for the Amish community in Bremen and Nappanee. Per his wishes, there will be no visitation or services.  Cremation will take place.
