Max Unsicker

Max Eugene Unsicker, 67, of Bremen passed away at home on the family farm surrounded by his loved ones. Max was born on June 28, 1959 in Bremen to James R. and Irene G (Becknell) Unsicker. On October 14, 2018, he married Brenda on the farm.

He is survived by his wife, Brenda; son: Jason M. (Andrea L.) Unsicker of Nappanee; stepson: Joseph P. (Brittney) Parks of Bremen; two step daughters: Kimberly A. Haining of Bremen and Kelsey L. Trent of Bourbon; 16 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. He is also survived by his mother: Irene G. Unsicker of Bremen and siblings: Mike (Jodi) Unsicker of Waynesville, NC, Dennis (Holly) Unsicker of Walkerton, Gary Unsicker of Pheonix, AZ, Jeffrey (Pebbles) Unsicker of Bremen and brother-in-law: Gary (Alice) Miller of Bourbon. He is preceded in death by his father; son, Matt; two grandchildren and sister, Debra Miller.

Max was one of a kind. He was the most loving, kind, wonderful and stubborn person. He loved his wife, his family and his friends. You always knew exactly where you stood with Max. He had a strong passion for his farm and farming. He loved to go for daily drives to “crop check” with a cooler by his side. He especially liked to come home to his farm and enjoy the peace and quiet. He loved tinkering in his shop and taking the side by side out for a drive to visit family and neighbors. He will be dearly missed.

Visitation will be held from 10:00-12:00 pm on Tuesday, September 22, 2026 in Mishler Funeral Home. A private family service will take place, and entombment will be in the Bremen Cemetery Mausoleum.
