Maxine M. Hochstetler

Maxine Marie Hochstetler, 90, of Bremen, passed away at 1:50 am, Sunday, April 21, 2024 in Signature Health Care of Bremen. Maxine was born on February 23, 1934 to the late John B. and Bertha (Robinson) Williams.  On August 27, 1955, she married Harold “Red” Hochstetler.  He passed away on February 2, 2019.  She is survived by three children: Brian (Sandy) Hochstetler of Bremen, Brad Hochstetler of Atlanta, GA and Teresa (Mark) Kobold of Mishawaka, six grandchildren: Nathan (Rachel) Hochstetler of Pendleton, IN, Ryan Hochstetler of North Liberty, Kyle (Devon) Kobold of Loudonville, NY, Loucas Kobold of Atlanta, GA, Megan (Ben) Russo of Mishawaka and Matthew (Kelley) Kobold of Denver, CO and six great grandchildren: Maizen, Leland, Ryker, Alexandria, Abigail and Vincenzo.  She is also survived by two sisters, Emily Kollar and Annabelle Osborne, both of South Bend.  She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, two sisters: Henrietta Hove and Huldah Ross and three brothers: Berdell, Roy and George Williams. Maxine has worked as a bookkeeper for the Walkerton Sale Barn and Woodies.  She was a homemaker and also a Cub Scout Den Mother. Visitation will be held from 10:00-12:00, Friday, April 26, 2024 in Mishler Funeral Home, 2030 St Rd 331, Bremen.  Funeral services will begin at 12:00 pm, Friday in the funeral home with Pastor Patrick Ballard officiating.  Burial will follow in South Union Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family request memorial contributions to be made to the Grace Bremen Food Pantry, 1237 W. Plymouth St., Bremen, IN 46506.
