Patsy Mae Schlemmer, 91, of Bremen passed away peacefully at 7:49 am, Wednesday, July 10, 2024. Patsy was born on May 11, 1933 in North Liberty to the late Chester and Helen (Phillips) Johnson. She is survived by three children: Cindy (Dave) Leavell of Plymouth, Pam Gouker of Plymouth and Betsy Paul of Houston, TX; four grandchildren: Chad (Megan) Bishop, Aaron (Kerry) Bishop, Abby Knisley and Ashley (Mark) Anciso; 11 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. She is also survived by daughter in law: Barb Gouker of Plymouth; special daughter: Debra Hanson of Plymouth; friend and companion: Melvin Jones of South Bend and siblings: Nancy McCartney of South Bend and Wanda Mangus of Plymouth. She is preceded in death by her parents, husbands: Dale Gouker and Harold Schlemmer and two children: Mike Gouker and Peggy Schlemmer Paul. Patsy lived in Bremen for the past 37 years and was in the Lapaz/Lakeville area prior. She was a dedicated member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church. Patsy enjoyed the outdoors and loved to be in her garden as soon as spring arrived. She was especially known for her raspberries. Visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 pm, Tuesday, July 16, 2024 in St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, 605 S. Center St., Bremen, IN 46506. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am, Wednesday, July 17, 2024 in the church with one hour of visitation prior. Private family burial will take place in New Oak Hill Cemetery, Plymouth. In lieu of flowers, the family request memorial contributions be made to St. Paul’s Lutheran Church.
