Phyllis A. Shoup

Phyllis Arlene Shoup, 83, of Bremen, Indiana, passed away at the We Belong Senior Home in Plymouth, Indiana on August 20, 2024. She was born on April 5,1941 in Gary, Indiana to the late Clayton and Mary Shoup. Phyllis attended Merrillville High School in Merrillville, Indiana, graduating in 1959. She later moved to Lake of the Woods in Bremen, Indiana. She worked as an executive secretary for various companies. She is survived by her sister, Claire (Lowell) Michaels; a niece, Betsy (Charlie) Houin; two great nephews, Matthew and Marcus along with numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Madelon.  Visitation will be held from 10:00-11:00 am, Saturday, August 24, 2024 in Mishler Funeral Home, 2030 St Rd 331, Bremen.  Funeral services will begin at 11:00 am Saturday in the funeral home with Rev. Max Milton officiating.  Burial will follow in Bremen Cemetery. We would like to extend our gratitude to the staff of We Belong Senior Home for the loving care provided to Phyllis during her stay.
