Richard G. Hazen

Richard George Hazen, 69, of Plymouth, went to be with the Lord at 6:27 am, Thursday, September 14, 2023.  Richard was born on May 14, 1954 in Knox, IN to Russell S. and Marjorie M. (Fear) Hazen. Richard is survived by two children; Jeff Hazen of Bremen and Theresa (Bobby) Hazen-Campbell of Mishawaka and three grandchildren; Allison (Robert Harrell) Hazen, Jacob Hazen and Kaiya Campbell; eight siblings, Shirley Imel, Donna (Paul) Pletcher,  Patti Hazen, Steve (Sandy) Hazen, Melody (Mike) Miller, Roger Hazen, Danny (Kandi) Hazen and Randy (Cindy) Hazen. He is also survived by Stacy Hazen and Bobby Salinas as well as many extended friends and family.  He is preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Sharon Pietsch. Richard attended Knox High School.  He worked for 18 years at Lobdell Emery of Argos before his retirement in 1996.  During his time there he was a Union Steward for the UAW.  Richard was blessed with a heart transplant in 1997. He loved visiting and telling stories with family and friends.  Richard had a crazy sense of humor and always had a good variety of jokes to tell at anytime or place.  Visitation will be held from 3:00-7:00 pm, Monday, September 18, 2023 in Mishler Funeral Home, 2030 SR 331, Bremen.  A funeral service will follow at 7:00 pm in the funeral home.  Cremation will follow and his ashes will be laid to rest at a later date.
