Rick L. Graverson

Rick Graverson 79, a dedicated lifetime resident of Bremen, passed away at 4:15 pm on Friday, November 21, 2025, at North Woods Village in Mishawaka, in the comfort of his family and friends. Rick was born on August 15, 1946, in Bremen to William and Donna (Ritter) Graverson. on October 8, 1965, he and Karen Fisher were married. He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Karen, two daughters Traci (Jeff) Rodgers of Indianapolis and Nicole (Jeff) Stanifer of Mishawaka; and one granddaughter, Roan Stanifer. He is also survived by a brother, Randy (Ron Cook) Graverson of South Bend. Rick was a proud, lifelong resident of Bremen, which fostered many friendships, holiday gatherings and countless memories over the years.Rick graduated from Bremen High School in 1964. He talked often about his days in marching band, playing the drums. Later he attended IUSB, earning an associate’s degree in business. He delighted in his family and had a great love for all of his girls. Rick’s working years were mostly spent in Syracuse, IN, at Dana Corporation, where he performed the duties of purchasing and scheduling. He was a dedicated employee with a personality that earned him forever friends. He enjoyed playing in the Dana golf league and the many golf outings. Rick began his public service on the Bremen Park Board before becoming a longtime member of the Bremen Town Council. He was a member of St. Dominic Catholic Church. Rick enjoyed life and lived it to its fullest. Many weekends found Rick and Karen at the softball park, cheering on their granddaughter’s team. He loved spending time with his family at their cabin on the Barbee Chain of Lakes; boating, fishing or just relaxing on the porch. Watching his granddaughter play softball, IU Basketball and weekly pinochle games with “best buds” were special pleasures. A memorial visitation will be held from 10:00 am - 12:00 pm on Thursday, December 4, 2025, at St. Dominic Catholic, 803 W. Bike St., Bremen. A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 12:00 pm, at the Church, and his ashes will be entombed in the Bremen Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to St. Dominic Catholic Church or Heartland Hospice.
