Robert Lee Britton, 77, of Bremen, passed away at 8:34 am, Friday, January 15, 2021 in St. Joseph Regional Medical Center, Mishawaka. Bob was born on July 21, 1943 in LaPorte, the son of the late Harvey and Alice (Brown) Britton. On April 14, 1979, he married Sue Newhart. She passed away on April 14, 2004. Bob is survived by three children; David (Cindy) Britton, Terry Britton and Jodi (James) Davidson; seven grandchildren; Stacy (Mark) Schmitt, David Britton, Sara (Wyatt) Koontz, Terry Allen (Beth) Britton, Nathan Cox, Matthew (Tabitha Bowling) Britton and Ashton Davidson; and 15 great grandchildren; Taylor, Ethyn, Amiya, Laikyn, Cora, April, Andrew, Kim, Jordan, Zack, Danielle, Kacie, Tanner, Taylor, and Tucker. He is also survived by a sister, Cindy (John) Davis. Bob was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He worked at HopCap, Huckins Tool & Die and retired from Universal Bearings. He loved his family so much. He was a huge Notre Dame Football fan and Chicago Cubs fan. He volunteered for the Lake of the Woods Fire Department. He is finally reunited with the greatest love of his life, Sue. Visitation will be held from 4:00-7:00 pm, Monday, January 18, 2020 in Mishler Funeral Home, 2030 St Rd 331, Bremen. Social distancing will be followed and masks are required. Private family services will be held on Tuesday and can be viewed on Mishler Funeral Home’s Facebook page starting at 11:00 am. Burial will follow in Bremen Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions to Bremen Volunteer Fire Department, P.O. Box 364, Bremen, IN 46506.
