Rolland "Butch" Kling

Rolland “Butch” Junior Kling, 82, of Bremen, passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 20, 2026, in his home. Butch was born on November 27, 1943, in Bremen to Rolland and Merlie Kling. On January 8, 1971, he married Linda Knutson.

He is survived by his loving wife, Linda; two children: Tara Aguayo and Heather Miller, both of Bremen; four grandchildren and six great grandchildren. He is also survived by four siblings: Linda Garey of Leesburg, Terry Kling of Elkhart, Judy Lawson of Bremen, and Jim Dycus of Elkhart. He is preceded in death by his parents and stepfather, John Sechrist.

Butch proudly served in the US Army and was a Private First-Class Medic during Vietnam and received multiple medals for being an excellent marksman. He was married to the love of his life Linda, for over 55 years and together they traveled the world. They especially loved to go on cruises to the Caribbean but had traveled to every U.S. state together throughout the years. He was a lifetime member of Bremen Missionary Church. He was a crossing guard for Bremen Public Schools for almost 20 years. His hobbies included auctions, selling and restoring antiques on eBay, and fishing. On weekends you could find Butch at every and any Bremen Sporting Event he could attend. Butch was an athlete himself playing on various basketball, softball, and bowling teams throughout the years. Which led him to coach his daughters’ softball teams. As he grew older, he especially loved to watch his children, grandchildren, and even great grandchildren play their various sports. Butch will be remembered as a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend. A family man who will never be forgotten for the impact he had in every person he met.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, September 26, 2026 at Bremen Missionary Church, 2958 Elm Rd, Bremen, IN 46506, with one hour of visitation prior to the service.
