Rulo G. Siefer

Rulo G. Siefer, 94, of Bremen, passed away peacefully at 12:30 am, Saturday, October 14, 2023, at Caring Junction Nursing Home of Mishawaka.  Rulo was born on September 27, 1929, in Bremen to the late Marvin J and Ardis M. (Fisher) Siefer.  Rulo was a lifetime resident of Bremen and graduated from Bremen High School in 1947.  On November 20, 1949, he married the love of his life, Barbara Mummey.  They spent 69 years together before she passed away on December 11, 2018. Rulo served his community as Clerk Treasurer and was a very active member of the First United Church of Christ, Bremen.  He enjoyed wintering in Florida and palling around with his best friend, Barbara. Rulo is survived by his three children: Becky (Pam Chipman) Siefer of Mancos, CO, John (Karol) Siefer of Indianapolis and Mike (Christie) Siefer of Bremen; 13 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.  He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife, and his sister, Marvene Bezucha. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am, Wednesday, October 18, 2023, at Mishler Funeral Home, 2030 St Rd 331, Bremen with one hour of visitation prior to the service.  His final resting place will be next to Barbara in Bremen Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions to be made to First United Church of Christ, 323 S. Center, St., Bremen, IN 46506.
