Shirlee A. Barnard

Shirlee Ann Barnard, age 77, formerly of Bremen IN peacefully passed away Friday, April 4, 2025. Shirlee was born November 7, 1947, in Bremen Indiana to Paul and Helen (Weil) Reed. Shirlee is survived by her two daughters: Sherry Kasprzak and Susie (Mark) Muszynski, along with three grandchildren: Sarah (Kj) Karczewski, Mary Muszynski and Kimberly Kasprzak; her three great grandchildren: Cooper and Liam Karczewski and Arlo Stoner; her brother: Randy (Thelma) Reed; her sister: Jan (Steve) Nelson; nephews: Tim and Jake and niece: Jenny. Shirlee is preceded in death by her parents Paul Reed and Helen (Weil) Reed. Shirlee worked as an inspector at Universal Bearings. She was a lifelong member of Church of the Brethren and will be remembered for loving popcorn, eating sweets, reading cookbooks, gardening, and being outdoors. Shirlee enjoyed cooking and talking about food.  Visitation will be held from 11:00-1:00 pm, Wednesday, April 9, 2025 in Bremen Church of the Brethren, 921 Woodies Ln, Bremen.  Funeral services will begin at 1:00 pm Wednesday in the church and burial will follow in Bremen Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family requested donations be made to Beacons Children Hospital, 615 N. Michigan St., South Bend, IN 46601 or St. Joe Regional Med Center-NICU, 5215 Holy Cross Pkwy, Mishawaka, IN 46545.
