Steve Muffley

Steven Roy Muffley, 71, of Bremen, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Tuesday, August 29, 2017, at his residence, surrounded by his family. Steve was born in Mishawaka on June 21, 1946, the son of Roy and Ivadell (Pletcher) Muffley. In 1965, Steve married Sandra Huff in Lakeville. He was previously employed with ET Products of Bremen, and he was the former owner/operator of Muffley’s Service Center and Mint City Motors, both located in Bremen. Steve attended Bremen Missionary Church and enjoyed watching his grandchildren participate in sporting and other events. He was an avid hunter and skeet shooter. He was a former member of the Bremen School Board, a retired volunteer fireman with the Bremen Fire Department, a former member of the Bremen Police Commission and the Bremen Jaycees. Steve was an avid Chicago White Sox and Indianapolis Colt fan. (and by the way, who has his favorite sweatshirt?) Steve is survived by his wife of 51 years, Sandy of Bremen; daughters, Tami (Eric) Hudson and Amber (Matt) Reed, both of Bremen; and son, Todd (Vicki) Muffley of Belville, NC; grandchildren, Kayla (Chris) Rassi, Kyle Hudson, Kevin Muffley, Peyton Muffley, Maggie Muffley, Evan Reed and Easton Reed; great-grandchildren, Makenna and Carter Rassi. He is also survived by his one and only (but favorite) mother-in-law, Vivian (Gene Watkins) Huff of Plymouth and brother, Sam (Diane) Muffley of Plymouth. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Sandra (Muffley) Allen. Memorial Services will be held at 12:00 pm on Saturday, September 2, 2017, at Bremen Missionary Church, 2958 Elm Road, Bremen, with visitation two hours prior to the service. Pastors Kurt Litwiller and Brad Thornton will officiate. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to either Bremen Missionary Church, 2958 Elm Road, Bremen, IN 46506, or Center for Hospice Care, 112 South Center Street, Suite C, Plymouth, IN 46563.
