Susan Lafree

February 21, 1952 — August 7, 2018

Susan Jean LaFree, 66, a lifelong Bremen resident, passed away at 6:39 pm, Tuesday, August 7, 2018 in Memorial Hospital. Susan was born on February 21, 1952, the daughter of the late Charles and Ruby (Beehler) LaFree. Susan worked at Kenney’s Grocery Store for 28 years before its closing and ended her career at Meijer. She loved reading, word search puzzles and spending time with friends and family. Family was her life and she got lots of enjoyment from her many nieces and nephews. Susan is survived by seven siblings, Tim (Babette) LaFree of Bremen, Karen (Larry) Kaminsky of Mission Viejo, CA, Terri LaFree of Indianapolis, Jan LaFree of Mission Viejo, CA, Julie (Dave) Holmes of Freemont, IN, Steve LaFree of Bremen and John (Shelly) LaFree of Plymouth. A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 pm, Sunday, August 12, 2018 in St. Dominic Catholic Church, 803 W. Bike St, Bremen. A time for sharing and greeting the family will follow the service in the Chapel of the Good Shephard. Rev. Fernando Jimenez will officiate. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions to be made to the American Heart Association at www.heart.org or the Parkinson’s Foundation at www.parkinson.org
