Ted Jones

Ted Jones, 68, of Bremen passed away Thursday, November 30, 2023 at his home. Ted was born July 15, 1955 in Jefferson City, TN, to L.V. and Gladys (Galyon) Jones.He is preceded in death by his parents and his wife Barbara (Karwatka) Jones, the loving mother of his children. They were married on April 3, 1976 until her passing in October of 2018. He is survived by his caring wife Jill (Hassel) Jones who he married on January 8, 2022; his four children, Cara (Ben) Rhoades of Indianapolis, Aaron (Sheila) Jones of South Bend, Rachel (Aaron) Jacobs of Roanoke, and Mason (Kristin) Jones of Elkhart; his step-daughter Valerie (Mike) Runyon of Bluffton; seven granddaughters Eva Rhoades; Natalie, Makenna, Brynlee and Christianna Jones; Eleanor and Macy Jones. He is also survived by his two big brothers Tom (Danna) Jones of South Bend and Mike (Michelle) Jones of Bremen. Ted was raised in Bremen, Indiana and graduated from Bremen High School in 1973. He deeply loved the Lord, spending time with his family and serving in various ministries at Bremen Missionary Church. From the time he was 16 years old he taught numerous Sunday School and Wednesday night Bible Studies, served for many years as a Deacon and various positions on the church board. He had a special talent for drafting floor plans and doing woodworking projects, including furniture and cabinetry. He enjoyed watching birds in his backyard, volunteering with the Bremen Holy Walk, raising alpaca and watching black and white Western movies. He will be missed by many on this earth but is rejoicing fully healed in the arms of his Savior until we are united in Heaven. Visitation will be held from 2:00-6:00 p.m. on Friday December 8 with a service to follow at 6:00pm at Bremen Missionary Church 2958 Elm Rd., Bremen.  A private burial will be held on Saturday December 9.   Pastor Kurt Litwiller will officiate. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial contributions to be made to the Benevolence Fund of Bremen Missionary Church.
