Thomas S. Guzak

August 27, 1941 — May 20, 2017

Thomas Stephen Guzak, 75, of Bremen, passed away peacefully at 8:20 pm, Saturday, May 20, 2017 in Elkhart Hospice House.  Tom was born on August 27, 1941, the son of the late Stephen and Stella (Gura) Guzak.  On January 11, 1964, he married Elaine Miller. He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Elaine; their children, Stephen Guzak of Plymouth and Diane (Bob) Ivin of Nappanee; and five grandchildren, Sara (Alex) Borkholder, Kyle Ivin, Troy Ivin, Ayden Guzak, and Landon Guzak.  He is also survived by a sister, Sandra (Paul) Wiser of Oak Forest, IL.  He is preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Marion Crane. Tom proudly served his country in the U.S. Army and was honorably discharged in 1962.  He was a member of St. Dominic Catholic Church, Bremen and was a volunteer firefighter in Dolton, IL for over 23, years.  He will be remembered for his love of golfing and fishing. Visitation will be held from 4:00-8:00 pm, Tuesday, May 23, 2017 in Mishler Funeral Home, 2030 St. Rd. 331, Bremen.  Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am, Wednesday, May 24, 2017 in the funeral home. Burial will follow in Bremen Cemetery with full military honors. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donation be made to the Center for Hospice Care, 501 Comfort Place, Mishawaka, IN 46545.
