Vera Miller

Vera Mae Miller, 101, of Bremen, passed away at 6:05 am, Wednesday, May 4, 2022 in her home surrounded by family. Vera was born on April 4, 1921 in her Madison Township home, the daughter of George and Florence (Foeckler) Schlemmer. On March 17, 1944, she married Maynard “Shorty” Miller. She is survived by three children; Donald (Mardell) Miller of Bremen, Bill (Deb) Miller of Plymouth, and Judy (Kendall) Hartzell of Bremen; daughter-in-law Sonya Miller of Cape Coral, FL; five grandchildren; five great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren. She is also survived by a sister, Dorothy (Tom) Walter of Bremen. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, son, Alan Miller and siblings, Velma Stuckey, Reta Miller, Esther Huff, Evelyn Fox, Marjorie Reed, Lois Naragon and Junior Schlemmer. The family would like to extend a very heartfelt thank you all the caring staff at the Center for Hospice Care of Plymouth. Visitation will be held from 11:00-1:00 pm, Thursday, May 12, 2022 in Bremen Missionary Church, 2958 Elm Rd, Bremen. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm, Thursday in the church. Pastor Kurt Litwiller is officiating. Burial will follow in Bremen Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions to be made to Bremen Missionary Church or The Center for Hospice Care, 112 S. Center St., Plymouth, IN 46563.
