Thomas W. Harding

Thomas Harding, age 76, of Syracuse, formerly of Wisconsin, passed away Monday, November 14, 2005 at Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne. He was born September 30, 1929, in Rockford, Illinois, to Thomas and Ethel (Willis) Harding.

Thomas retired from Dana Corporation after 18 years. He was a member of the Methodist Church of Edgerton, Wisconsin, a WWII US Army Vetern, Syracuse American Legion Post 223, Syracuse VFW Post 1342 and the Eagles, also in Syracuse.

On May 29, 1952, he married Shirley Summers. She survives.

Survivors include his wife: Shirley, of Syracuse, 1 daughter: Janet (Richard) Harding-Jackson of Janesville, Wisconsin, 2 sons: Thomas (Dori Stephens) Harding of Brodhead, Wisconsin, David (Gina) Harding of Terre Haute, Indiana, 6 grandchildren, 2 sisters: Dorothy Calgaro of South Beloit, Illinois, Lorraine Kempen of West Allis, Wisconsin, and 1 brother: Lawrence Harding of Juda, Wisconsin. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Services will be held at 7:00PM Thursday, November 17, 2005, at the Mishler-Eastlund Funeral Home, Harris Chapel, in Syracuse. Pastor Ben Lindsly will officiate. Friends may call 4-7PM prior to the service at the funeral home. A graveside services will take place on Friday, November 18, 2005, at 2:00PM (CST) at Flora Cemetery in Kirkland, Illinois.

Memorials may be given to the American Cancer Society.
