Louis Dean Senter, 92, of Bremen, passed away peacefully at 11:50 am, Thursday, November 17, 2022 in Signature Health Care of Bremen. Louis was born on July 7, 1930 in Indianapolis, IN to the late Louis Monroe Senter and Vita Francile (Muncie) Senter. He is survived by his wife, Peggy Jean (Zigler) Senter; daughters, Sheryl (Mark) Matters and Rebecca (Tim) Doyle; grandchildren, Hal Hackett, Francile Hackett, Louis Hackett and Patrick Hackett. He is also survived by brother-in-law, Russell Dean Zigler He is preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Marion Wayne Senter and sister-in-law, Lu (Spencer) Senter. After graduating from Speedway High School, Lou attended Ball State University for one year. He then entered the Air Force and was stationed in Japan during the Korean War. After being discharged, he attended Shelton College. Lou worked in the insurance business for all of his career. He started at USF&G (Foster & Messick) where he met his wife, Peggy. They were married in 1961. They eventually moved to Bremen, IN, where he worked as agent for Miller Insurance for over 20 years. Lou was active in many civic organizations over the years including Kiwanis, Marshall County Right to Life, and the Bremen Public Library Board. He was also a founding member of Grace Fellowship Church serving on the initial Steering Committee and later as a Deacon. Visitation will be held from 11:00-1:00 pm, Tuesday, November 22, 2022 in Mishler Funeral Home, 2030 St Rd 331, Bremen. Funeral services will follow at 1:00 pm in the funeral home and burial will be in the Bremen Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions to be made to Grace Fellowship Church, 535 S. Birkey St., Bremen, IN 46506.
